EIKOLARA - Country-house
The place where you will enjoy the quietness of the rural and natural environment in the North of the Álava province, Basque Country, Spain.

EIKOLARA is a XVIIIth century house totally restored, placed in a privileged natural and not very much known setting, in Zalduondo village, near the Reserve of Aizkorri-Aratz, where a variant of the St James Way (‘Camino de Santiago’) follows a medieval causeway crossing the mountain through the incomparable St Adrian’s tunnel at 1.100 m. altitude. Enjoy the autumn colours of beeches and oaks, and the variety of greens in spring!... This is a place with plains, hills and mountains, where you can walk, ride a mountain-bike or do some climbing.
The house has four rooms for accommodation, two doubles, one triple and one suite, all of them with private facilities. Moreover we put at your service several common areas: a spacious dining room with a fireplace to enjoy breakfasts and meals, also available as a meeting-room; a small lounge for relaxing, with a stove, flat screen TV with satellite receiver and DVD player and a computer with free internet access for the use of visitors; an open-air patio with furniture and a garden to sunbathe.

A cool house in summer, and a warm one in winter, where you will enjoy the calmness and silence of the countryside. And those who like villages will find a typical and friendly one, with parks, children’s playgrounds, a “frontón” -a place to play the traditional game of “pelota vasca” (basque ball)-, an ethnographic museum and many other nice places. In summertime, the nearby swimming pool next to the wood of Araia will be waiting for you, the walk is delicious…, come to enjoy the quietness in a natural setting! We are waiting for you…
